To ensure full traceability from the forest to the barrel, we implemented a process that keeps track of all key information, for every step of production. This information is stored into our database and is accessible by a unique serial number on each barrel.

Step 1

Each palette of staves is referenced with a bar code label (lot number, source, date, dimensions, grain type).

Step 2

Each barrel receives a unique serial number and a barcode. The number is also engraved on two staves.

Step 3

Information on the final steps of production (including toasting) is entered into the database by the barcode.
